  • Fall can leave us all feeling weary before the season really even kicks off. You can think, who has time for marriage work?
But your marriage might not need more time.
It might need 10 intentional minutes. ๐Ÿค

When life gets full- work, kids, practices, church, appointments, meals, laundry, itโ€™s easy for marriage to become one more thing weโ€™re managing instead of a relationship weโ€™re nurturing. These questions help us work better as teammates and also as lovers!
  • Before fall gets us away from us, here are some of the rhythms weโ€™re putting in place for our marriage.

๐Ÿ‚ Date day or night weekly
๐Ÿ‚ Sabbath that fills our cups
๐Ÿ‚ Family night for making memories weekly
๐Ÿ‚ Marriage course (8 weeks at our church)
๐Ÿ‚ Intentional time with friends who make us better
๐Ÿ‚ One short getaway this quarter
๐Ÿ‚ naming where we need support each week and giving it to each other

What are some of your marriage priorities that show up on your calendar?
  • The other night we tried to have a hard conversation on date night while sitting / TRAPPED / in a car. ๐Ÿ˜‚
At one point we looked at each other and said โ€œwe have got to get out of this car and just walk around.โ€
Hard conversations done with respect and in love are not the problem, thatโ€™s growth!
Next time you need to have a hard conversation try to take a walk and see if it helps you slow down, breathe and hear one another better.
  • Feeling disconnected? So normal! However donโ€™t let one day turn into two. Here are some easy tips that have helped us get back to that loving feeling.
