  • Don’t heal alone.

Crisis whispers:
Hide this.
Protect your image.
Don’t let anyone know.

But isolation gives shame room to grow. You don’t need to tell everyone. But you probably need to tell someone safe.

A counselor.
A pastor.
A mentor.
A trusted couple.
A close friend.

Healing after a crisis needs community. This is our heart and calling, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
  • Fall can leave us all feeling weary before the season really even kicks off. You can think, who has time for marriage work?
But your marriage might not need more time.
It might need 10 intentional minutes. 🤍

When life gets full- work, kids, practices, church, appointments, meals, laundry, it’s easy for marriage to become one more thing we’re managing instead of a relationship we’re nurturing. These questions help us work better as teammates and also as lovers!
  • Before fall gets us away from us, here are some of the rhythms we’re putting in place for our marriage.

🍂 Date day or night weekly
🍂 Sabbath that fills our cups
🍂 Family night for making memories weekly
🍂 Marriage course (8 weeks at our church)
🍂 Intentional time with friends who make us better
🍂 One short getaway this quarter
🍂 naming where we need support each week and giving it to each other

What are some of your marriage priorities that show up on your calendar?
  • The other night we tried to have a hard conversation on date night while sitting / TRAPPED / in a car. 😂
At one point we looked at each other and said “we have got to get out of this car and just walk around.”
Hard conversations done with respect and in love are not the problem, that’s growth!
Next time you need to have a hard conversation try to take a walk and see if it helps you slow down, breathe and hear one another better.
Don’t heal alone.
